I have photographed more than 2000 weddings in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and literally every other city in New Mexico. As far or as close as you feel you should. Usually I book one year out, but sometimes I am available for a wedding happening in a week. Being that your photographer is literally the most important vendor - locking it in as soon as you are able, doesn’t hurt.

At the end of the day - most times a second photographer does very little to match or surpass the skill, talent and ability of a great alone photographer - as a matter of fact,. sometimes a second photographer makes things more difficult than they should be.
