Albuquerque Weddings

I photograph weddings throughout Albuquerque and Northern New Mexico for couples who want authentic, emotional images that reflect their day as it truly felt. My style blends natural, documentary photography with classic composition and storytelling, ensuring each gallery feels timeless and deeply personal.

Wedding Photography in Albuquerque: Real, Natural, and Timeless

A couple dancing outdoors on a wooden deck, surrounded by trees, with the man wearing a hat and the woman in a wedding dress, sharing a romantic moment.

Albuquerque wedding photography involves a mix of indoor celebrations, scenic outdoor spaces, and dynamic timelines. Couples like Amber and Albert above, value photographs that feel natural and timeless — images that capture real emotions, candid moments, and the unique atmosphere of New Mexico celebrations without awkward posing or forced moments.

How Documentary Wedding Photography Works in Albuquerque

A documentary approach focuses on capturing your day as it unfolds rather than staging moments. In Albuquerque, where light shifts quickly and venues range from historic adobe spaces to outdoor gardens and desert backdrops, this style ensures images feel authentic and meaningful. You enjoy your day while memories are captured unobtrusively and beautifully.

Engagement Photography That Feels Natural: Just the two of you

Albuquerque wedding photography should always include amazing engagement photos. Engagement photos are extremely important in order to get us to know each other a little, get you comfortable in front of the camera and experiencing you in the photos instead of a bunch of strangers. My sessions are very fun, they don’t last forever and you will walk away with a clear understanding of how it is to work together so you are ready when I show up on wedding day!

Important Questions Couples From Albuquerque Should Be Asking About Their Photographer

  • I have photographed more than 2000 weddings in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and literally every other city in New Mexico. I am experienced shooting at every venue, church, park, picnic area, event center and I have photographed hundreds of back yard weddings and house weddings. I am ready for your wedding!

  • I place more effort than any photographer I know. I am never still, I am never in the same place for more than fifteen seconds, I interact with people, I manage groups better than anyone and your experience with me will definitely be excellent and worth every penny.

  • Absolutely not - however, they are welcomed to shoot alongside myself and provide you with some shots that will add to the perfect images I deliver. In wedding photography, proven experience is what you are looking for -

  • As far or as close as you feel you should. Usually I book one year out, but sometimes I am available for a wedding happening in a week. Being that your photographer is literally the most important vendor - locking it in as soon as you are able, doesn’t hurt.

  • I will only say this: There are some very questionable photographers that charge exorbitant amounts of money, extra fees, have loop hopes and conditions - do your homework. A DJ may play the wrong song - no big deal. But a photographer has zero error latitude.

  • Have you studied photography? Do you practice basic photography concepts? Or is your fancy new digital, mirrorless, supercharged camera doing all of the work? Chances are, it is the later.
